Barbelo

It is 200 years in the future. The human population has been severely reduced to an estimated 1.8 Billion people. Disease, political struggle and a 40 year war has ravaged the world. Nations have collapsed and been replaced by a global, corporate based infrastructure, set within walled paradises called ‘Ranges’.

 

After a strange collision in orbit which ruins an orbital station, killing half its crew; then a major explosion at one of the Ranges, The world is braced for another outbreak of fighting. But the people in charge suspect it’s actually a first contact…

 

Both are wrong!

 

There are gods, they are at war, and some have been hiding here on earth, for a long, long time. Soon they will be discovered, and their war will be before us... what part will we play?

 

Anna Malis, is a functioning alcoholic, struggling with tragedy, and contemplating her own mortality. She stumbles into a situation which will bring her face to face with them, and will discover that humanity have been set up to play a very important role in the future of the universe, life, and light versus a very real darkness!
